Just a thought.

I was thinking earlier this morning and this thought came to my head, "To be a worship leader you have to be a worshipper." That got me thinking, am I a worshipper? Do I take time everyday to worship God? Do I sing to him everyday? How do I worship? If I don't sing and play instruments for him everyday then why do I do it on Sunday? I am supposed to be leading so I should be doing what I'm asked to do everyday. Not just Sunday. I think it is a good time to re-evaluate ourselves and really spend time being a worshipper. Lets do it.

It's Been Awhile...

I had almost forgotten about this thing! Good thing I have excellent worship leaders to remind me of important things. This blog was definitely beneficial when we were using it so I'm going to try and bring it back like Justin Timberlake! Haha! J/K!

I have been listening to this worship team and the more I listen to them the more I fall in love with them. They are the Worship leaders at Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC. If you guys are looking for a great worship team to praise with, these guys are AWESOME! I bought their new CD called "For the Honor." It is incredible. They are so passionate about their worship and it definitely shows that they practice excellence! I wanted to let you know this because 1. We will be doing songs of theirs soon. 2. They are a great example for us to follow! Check them out in youtube or elevationworship.com

I have decided to start doing something that I should of been doing all along...recognition. It is so important that people be recognized for the things they do. Today I would Like to give honor to Logan Robbins. He is always on time, (except for when he's late hehe!), he constantly displays excellence, he practices a lot and it shows in his play, he has increased his skill and developed as a musician dramatically. He helps me so much with getting things ready. He sets up the songs on Planning Center Online for us often. He uses his gas to drive to Guitar Center and pick things up for us, and he is a huge advocate and influence to the Board and Pastor Larry when discussing things we need. It is thanks to him that we have our brand new In Ear Monitors! So Logan, thanks for all that you do. May God continue to bless you in your strivings for excellence! Keep up the great work! Thanks from me and the whole team!!!

So thankful for all of you guys, lets continue to excel and give our VERY best to our Father!

Praying for Ardmore.

Hey Team! I wanted to share something I read in the book of Jeremiah today. It comes from chapter 29 starting in verse 4.

(4)This is what the Lord of Heaven's Armies, the God of Israel, says to all the captives he has exiled to Babylon from Jerusalem: (5) "Build homes, and plan to stay. Plant Gardens, and eat the food they produce. (6) Marry and have children. Then find spouses for them so that you may have many grandchildren. Multiply! Do not dwindle away! (7) And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare."

I wanted us to realize How God was telling his people to pray for the city they were in. For it to prosper and be successful . I think as a team we should do the same thing. Lets pray for Ardmore America. Lets pray peoples hearts will be changed and they will seek our God Whether it be at HOP or a different Godly centered Church. Lets pray that we can Glorify God in and out of the church and be true doers of Gods word.

We know that God always keeps his promises and fills needs in his timing. I want us to now look at Verses 10-13. (10) This is what the Lord says: "You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. (11) For I know the plans I the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (12) In those days when you pray, I will listen. (13) If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."

Here I see something very important. God asked his people to pray earlier and then he says in verse 10, Then I'll answer you 70 YEARS later! So as we pray let us not grow weary. I do believe God is going to use our ministry to do great things so like it says lets pray for our city and our church to prosper and keep praying even when we may not see the results, even if it takes 70 years.

With action. John 3:18

After reading about what the band Leeland said about their ministry at, http://www.leelandonline.com/band, I got an idea. I think it would be a really neat thing if we as a worship team could get together either weekly/monthly/quarterly and do something to help others in our community. We weren't simply created to worship and tell others about God inside our church walls. We were created to act out this love as well. So I don't have any idea what it would necessarily be but I do feel like it could be a very impactful thing. So I would like everyone to "put your thinking caps on" and share our ideas with each other about what we could do as a team to make a difference in our community.

Remember this verse.

1 Chronicles 16:9
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all his wonderful acts.

Hey team! First of all great job to all of you yesterday morning! Thanks for your hard work and the time that you give. I am sharing this verse with all of you because I think it fits perfectly with what each of us do as worship leaders. We sing to him and through the songs we have the privilege of telling others of his wonderful love, power, and mercy! His wonderful acts! I am really excited what God has for us as a team and I know if put forth the effort and continue to work to get better as individuals and a team God will bless our efforts. So today and every day lets sing to Him, sing praise to Him, and tell what others what he has done in our lives!
